Urban Fabric comprises of three sculptures that mimic segments of a single red thread and are crafted to merge with and challenge the urban landscape simultaneously, challenging and redefining the conventional surrounding environment. These sculptures, weaving into the ground, transform the urban space into a dynamic, evolving fabric, symbolizing the interconnectedness of community.

Established in 2012, The Christo and Jeanne-Claude Award is aimed at young artists in the UAE who wish to create public artwork. “Urban Fabric” was initially opened at Manarat Al Saadiyat during Abu Dhabi Art in the attendance of ADMAF's Founder Huda Alkhamis-Kanoo; H.E. Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth; H.E. Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi; Rima Abdul Malak, Minister of Culture of France. Then, it was transported to the New York Abu Dhabi Campus and Umm Al Emarat Park and it is permanently on display at Rabdan Marina.
